Michael was born on November 26, 1990 in Ventura County to Stephanie Roman and Joe Salazar. He was the middle child of six siblings. Michael passed on August 2nd, 2020, leaving behind four beautiful children, Alicia, Janessa, Carlos and Samuel and a fiancé, Gessis Villa. He is survived by his parents Joe Salazar and Brenda Fisher, sisters Krystal, Ashley, Samantha, and Jessica. Grandparents Linda Souza, Elizabeth Martinez and Juan Salazar.
Michael was raised in San Diego, CA since the age of ten. During the time he was here with us, he befriended anyone he met, and always being kind and loving. He made everyone feel like family, he would always call them mom, pops, brother and sis all the time. That was just his nature. Michael was known for his radiant smile and laughter that could light up any room. He would do anything for his family. Michael was constantly looking after his sisters, always being that emotional support and best friend. There was no better brother than Mikey. He was a very loving father to his beautiful children, he loved them more than anything on Earth. Michael loved spending time with Janessa especially his facetimes with her. He had a heart of gold and impacted anyone he ever met. He was also the biggest jokester with everyone, playing pranks on his family, sending funny text messages to everyone. Michael loved to cook but also enjoyed homemade cooking from his fiancé Gessis. His fiancé Gessis was a tremendous influence on his life, he loved her very much, as well as his two adorable sons that they share. He also loved spending quality time with his in-laws who treated him like their own son and brother. At a young age Michael learned to fish by his dad Joe. Since then he loved to go fishing, that was his favorite thing to do. You could always see him at the pier with either his family or with his daughter Alicia or by himself for hours doing what he loved. He had a love for art as well. His drawings were so beautiful and the talent he had was one that he shared with the world. You could always catch his signature “Zerk” almost anywhere you go.
Michael is welcomed at the gates of Heaven by his mother Stephanie, his dad John, Tio Jojo, Tio Jack, and his big brother Carlos.
