Maxine Reon-Nickell, née Rogers, age 81, of San Diego, CA passed away on August 26, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Maxine is survived by her husband Gary, siblings Michael and Maureen, daughter Michele, grandson Max and great-granddaughter Ariel.
Maxine grew up in National City, CA and attended Sweetwater High School, where she was a popular songleader. After High School, Maxine began working for what was then called the Naval Air Rework Facility, at North Island in Coronado, CA. She retired in 1992.
Maxine enjoyed sports, arts and crafts, and travel after her retirement. She also volunteered with the local humane society.
Our family is grateful to know that Maxine is in a better place.
A Celebration-of-Life service for Maxine will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 3:00pm at Cypress View Mortuary, 3953 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92113. All are welcome.
