Born May 8th, 1929 in Florence, Massachusetts, Betty was a gifted musician whose talent was evident at an early age. She began accordion lessons in her hometown of Florence and later commuted to New York City, where she continued her studies. Under the management of MCA, the trio toured throughout the United States. In 1955, after settling in San Diego, Betty married Arnold Kaiser, who was stationed at the Naval Training Center. She soon opened a music studio in Ocean Beach, where she taught accordion for more than 25 years. After raising four boys, she volunteered as the accompanist for the music program at the boys’ school and began teaching private piano lessons in Point Loma. Throughout her many years of teaching, Betty touched the lives of countless students of all ages. In addition to being an avid traveler, she was devoted to the city of San Diego. Betty loved the San Diego Symphony and Opera and was a lifelong Chargers fan. She is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Arnold, and survived by her four sons, Daryl (Nance), Brian (Pamela), Craig (Susan) and Brad, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
