Marina DeGraff peacefully passed away on October 29th, 2022 went to be with her Lord at the age of 52. Born in Freeport Texas on May 11th 1970, is survived by her husband of 24 years Eric and her two children Alex and Erica. She is also survived by her parents, Ofilia and Albino Corona as well as her two sisters and baby brother, Micaela, Candace, and Juan Fransisco Corona.
A higher power found it fit to create the Earth and to have loving souls to occupy this world. He, with his creativity and wisdom, created Marina. She was beautiful, gifted, smart, mischievous, and always laughing with her silly humor! Marina entered our lives, born a firecracker, and was Grandpa’s Joaquin Corona’s favorite. She would cheat my baby brother in board games, and he was always so happy to tell mom that it was ok, (he just wanted her to play with him). She learned to read at a very early age, her two favorite books were Father Fox Penny and The Very Busy World of Richard Scarry (she adored Couscous). She also treasured the Chicken Soup with Rice Poem by Carole King, singing it almost every day. She was a competitive, spirited soul and won everything she entered – spelling contests, long-distance running, and shaolin-do martial arts. She had outstanding elegance, gracefulness, and a flawless form. She excelled in college and even graduated before me. She received a degree in Mathematics, moving away from Aerospace thinking it was too hard. We will miss her terribly but know she truly and positively touched the lives of everyone she met. We will see her again and can’t wait to hug her and laugh with her.
May her soul Rest In Peace
Condolences for the family may be offered at Beardsley-Mitchell funeral home on the 19th of November from 11-1 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow the service.
