Marilyn J. Scholl, age 78 of San Diego, CA passed away on Monday, December 2, at her home. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 7, at her daughter's home, Bobbie (Rob) Akin at 1:00 pm.
Marilyn Joan Scholl was born May 31, 1935, at Billings, MT. She attended school in Kalispell and Drummond, Montana. She married Robert R. School, Jr. on September 22, 1952, at Williston, ND. They lived in North Dakota until 1956 when they moved to the San Diego area. She worked as an in home day care provider until she was employed by Ely Lily, making surgical supplies. She retired after 20 years and moved to Whitehall, MT in 1995 after the death of her husband. During her time in Montana she enjoyed fishing in the nearby rivers, participating in the senior center events, and dancing at Borden's Café every Sunday. In 2009 she moved back to San Diego to live with her daughter Bobbie and her husband Rob. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading, sewing and baking.
She is survived by her daughters Meri (Steven) Martin of Washburn, ND; Bobbie (Rob) Akin, San Diego, CA; and son Robert (Charlene) Scholl, III San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Stephanie (Andy) Maier, Carolene Martin, Hunter Martin, Tara (Dave) Andrus, Travis (Sharada) Akin and Sarrah Scholl; great grandchildren Brendan, Nathan, and Cameron Andrus; Angel, Liam, Ellis and Trinity Akin; brother George (Don Durham) Goble; stepmother Pat Goble; half siblings Sandy, Susan, Ray, Steve, Mike, and Sheri. She was preceded in death by her parents George Goble and Marjorie Bryngelson; brother Ronald Goble; her husband Robert School Jr.; and son-in-Law Steven Martin.
