Maria Elena Rodriguez

Born on August 7, 1947, Maria Elena Rodriguez began her magical life here on Earth. On July 7, 2014, with her family by her side, our Angel left us for the sky to begin her journey with God. She leaves behind her husband of 47 years Chuy, her sons Michael, Walter, Ernest and Oscar, Daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, a great-grandson, and brothers Jose, Santiago, Jorge, and Jesus. In addition to her extended family she loved so much.

Maria never left a slot machine untouched and marveled when they lit-up, which often happened with her amazing luck. She loved the thrill of scary movies and the sounds of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Always ready to shop, she loved buying things for her family and friends. She enjoyed the scent of Este Lauder, was lavished with the most beautiful clothes, and was known for her signature red lipstick.

Maria enjoyed feeding her family and the neighborhood kids. Although she made delicious bean burritos, she would much rather go out to El Ranchito Taco Shop, Chicken Pie Diner, or Chinese food to name a few. However, the best was finding her junk drawer full of all types of candies.

More than anything, Maria loved being a wife to her husband and mother to her precious sons. She was a care-taker to many and touched everyone she met. We will miss her bigger than life personality and pray she is resting in the peace she deserves.
