SALAZAR, Margaret “Maggie” Miranda Salazar (San Diego, California), age 84 (formerly of Lemon Grove), passed away Wednesday March 24, 2021. She was a graduate of Hoover High School in 1954 and attended San Diego City College, completing courses that advanced her career in education administration.
Maggie was the business owner of a professional cleaning and maintenance service and also the owner of a notary public private company; she also had interest in a commercial construction company. Maggie was a member of the Women’s Business Association and a consummate advocate supporting women business owners.
Maggie was a parishioner of St. Didacus Catholic Church in Normal Heights and had many interests and hobbies, including baking, sewing, gardening, crocheting, performing arts and entertainment, and culinary cuisine.
Maggie was preceded in death by her father and mother Jose and Dolores Miranda; her spouse Victor Salazar; four sisters; Lupe Miranda, Mary Keckly, Louise Murillo, and Josephine Shoberg; and five brothers; Vincent Miranda, Manuel Miranda, Robert Miranda, Rudy Miranda, and Ray Miranda; she is survived by her son Richard Scott Salazar; two sisters Mary Lucille Salazar and Frances Surber; and two brothers Daniel Miranda and Michael Miranda; and more than three generations of nieces and nephews. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, godmother, and aunt.
Visitation will be held from at 3:00pm-7:00pm with a Rosary beginning at 5:30pm, Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Cypress View Mausoleum Mortuary and Crematory, 3953 Imperial Ave, San Diego. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, April 15, 2021 at St. Didacus Catholic Parish, 4772 Felton Street, San Diego. Interment will be held at 12:30pm, Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum at 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego.
