Margaret “Pegi” Ruddy

Born 0ctober 11th, 1930 in Beverly, Massachusetts

Preceded by her brother, Kenny. Married 1961 to James J Ruddy Jr. who preceded her on June 2nd 1996. She and her husband Jim came to California in 1965, with the U.S. Navy. She was a dedicated Military wife for 34 years.

She was involved on the Spring Valley Park and Recreation Board for over 40 years. She has been recognized and honored over the years for her dedication and work for the community of Spring Valley.

Before moving to San Diego she was a professional dog shower. Pegi loved to collect dolls, Waterford crystal, tea pots and much more.. Pegi loved to read books and the daily newspaper. She was an expert at crossword puzzles. She enjoyed traveling and gardening growing award winning dahlias. She loved tutoring children to read and was involved in many church activities. She liked a good Happy Hour, (which she usually organized). She enjoyed the Opera, Musical Theater, and a nice dinner with a good bottle of white wine and friends. Pegi loved a good joke and fun conversation. She loved many friends but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren, and telling others of her grandchildren. Now and then she enjoyed her three children too!! She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend to all she meet. She will truly, truly be missed and stay in the heart and spirit of many friends and family.

The Ruddy children would like to Thank the doctors, nurses, corpsmen, respiratory staff f at Balboa Naval Hospital over the past two and half years for the LOVING and devoted care given to our Mother. We also are grateful to Front Poarch Communities, Carlsbad by the Sea, for the Love and Care given to her during her time spent with them.

Survived by Children: Janet, Jamie, and Terri Ruddy and Grandchildren: Sarah Nicole, Morgan, and Paisley. Cat: Nephi
