It’s been approximately 2 months that you left my side we were suppose to grow old together and have girls trips without our children and husbands. 
I miss you my FOREVER WOMBMATE 

The memories I have of my time with Armida will always exist in a golden glow. I worked with her at Hancock Elementary for five years and the lasting impression that plays over and over in my mind is opening the door to Room 1 and seeing her brilliant smile and bright eyes, always happy to greet me even in the midst of chaos and exhaustion. Armida treated everyone with kindness and never lacked an encouraging word to say. Armida made each person feel worthy - of time, attention, growth, and love. She brought joy and comfort to my own life as she supported me through two pregnancies and early motherhood, gently giving advice and sharing  personal stories of raising her wonderful two sons with her loving husband. I can still hear her voice talking about Brady's and Trevor’s activities and accomplishments, the delicious meals Andy cooked up, and the vacations she was always so excited to take with her family. I am deeply saddened by the loss of my friend and grieved for the world to lose such an inimitable light, but I am also inspired to live my own life more true, more kind, and more loving than ever before, because she showed me how.

Dear Andy, Brady & Trevor,
We are heartbroken for your loss. We will always remember the wonderful memories with Armida cheering on our boys and celebrating all the team festivities. We loved being a part of the Mets family and we will always be here for you.

Armida welcomed me to Hancock two years ago.  She was always supportive of me as a colleague and as a friend.  Her aura was radiant.  She loved her students and transformed lives by generously and graciously helping all of us.  She spoke fondly of her family and their zest for life.  Armida continues to be an angel whose presence will continue to guide us and comfort us.  She gave her heart lovingly to all of us.  I will do my best to honor Armida by graciously seeking to help others.  My sincere condolences.  Karl Warkentien. 

 Andy, Boys, and Family, 
 I had the privilege of working with Armida at Hancock for seven years.   I felt like we were a work family and I was so lucky to have her be a part of my life.  Because of Armida’s example I think we are all reminded to have a little more fun, be a little more daring, be a little more kind, and smile a lot more.  I was so fortunate to sit over the Building One lunch table for so many years and hear her stories of the fun adventures she had, and her sweet stories of her boys and Andy.  She helped make everyday exciting, whatever was happening she always had that positive attitude and that dazzling smile.  I was lucky enough to see her over the years after I stopped working at Hancock and it was always as if time stood still and nothing had changed.  My thoughts are with you all, please know that she touched so many lives.  I will always treasure the time I got to spend with Armida.

Armida is a true Angel......
God really must of needed her for a very.....very special reason.....For her to have to say see you later to her beloved.....loved ones....so early in this lifetime.....there truly had to be a good reason. 
For anyone Armida had crossed paths with....they should know......they have been truly blessed......wether you knew her for a day or many years, I’m sure we could all agree and say that we all were in the presence of an Angel......To Armidas family my condolences and heart goes out to each and everyone of you......At these sadden times you here the reference....they are now in a better place.....But in this instance......she’s currently up there right now.....making the better place.....that much better..........

A beautiful ray of sunshine has left us and I am so heartbroken.  Armida had a smile  and amazing personality that would light up the entire room.  I had the privilege to work with her at Hancock Elementary School.  She was a joy to work with and was always eager and willing to pitch in and help.  
Her family was the central part of her being.  She loved Andy and the boys, her family and Barbara and Doug.  She touched in such a positive and loving way every person she came in contact with.  The world is such a much better place because Armida was in it.  She will be missed so greatly and I feel so fortunate to have know her and worked with her. 
I am sending my love and hugs and  to Andy and the boys, Armida's family and Doug and Barbara.  

Andy, Boys, and Family-
Armida was so full of life. Her smile would light up the room, her energy was contagious and it just felt good being around her. Her love for her family and friends was obvious in everything she did. Armida was amazing! She was funny, beautiful, smart and sassy. She was one of the strongest people that I've ever known and one of the loveliest as well. Her positivity in all situations was remarkable. Armida always made everyone feel special. She always gave you her undivided attention and made you feel that what you were saying was the most important thing at that moment. She had a way of making everyone feel loved. Our lives are forever changed because of the incredible woman she was. We feel blessed to have known her and lucky to have been considered her friends. Although, we all agree that she was much to young to go, her spirit will live on forever in our hearts. And don't think for a second that she won't sass from up above when needed🙂. Dearest Smith Family,
Please accept sincere condolences from a member of the TAPI Family. Words will never fill the emptiness nor lessen the pain, but may bring some sort of comfort knowing that you are being held in so many peoples' hearts. We cry for you and with you, and at the same time we celebrate her freedom from suffering such pain.
May you find peace and comfort at some point soon. 

Although I only was able to work with Armida a short time I was able to be blessed by her smile and amazing personality.  It was very clear that her joys in life were her family, friends, colleagues and work with students.  She was an intregal part of the Hancock Elementary School family and touched so many lives for many years.  Her legacy will live on for many years to come with the students she has educated and the staff members she has influenced.  May her family find comfort in knowing Armida meant so much to so many people. 

Armida signed on at Hancock the year before I did, so I've always known her as part of my Hancock family.   Her amazing smile, quick wit, positive attitude, and true joy of living made you fall in love with her so quickly.   

In 2004, Armida joined four other Hancock teachers to teach English at a South Korean summer camp.  What a fun 3 weeks we had followed by a 10-day trip to 4 cities throughout China.   I'll always remember the fun, the laughter, and the memories. 

I included a picture of Armida laughing when the water balloon she was trying to catch popped in her hands.  So true to her fun-loving nature.  

You'll always be in our hearts and minds.

I wanted to share with you what I wrote to tell our Hancock families about Armida. I had the privilege of being her loft partner for four years. It is so hard to put into words what Armida means to me, our kinder team, and our school. She was our light, our constant good time, and our barbie that was always glammed and ready to go. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray every night for your family. Thank you for sharing your girl with us. 

It is with a heavy heart that we let you know of the passing of our beloved Mrs. Smith. After many months of courageously fighting ovarian cancer, she peacefully passed away with family at her side. Mrs. Smith loved to travel but mostly she loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her husband and two boys. 
 
Mrs. Smith taught at Hancock for 19 years. She was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of human being and teacher. She was the kind of teacher who poured her heart and soul into her students, and her work. She was the type that no matter the chaos that teaching brings, you could enter her class at any time and be greeted with her beautiful smile. Mrs. Smith took great pride in working at Hancock and was loved greatly by all staff and students.
 
If you knew her, you know there will never be another Mrs. Smith. But because you knew her, you also know...her legacy lives on through all of us, and the way we show up in the world-a little louder, a little bolder, and always full of love. We will use the sadness we feel today to motivate our tomorrow, and to keep soaring like Mrs. Smith taught us.

Armida was a beautiful person both inside and out.  It was a pleasure to know Armida for the past 13 years I worked at Hancock. She will truly be missed.
