Dear LaVonne,  Arthur and I miss you as our neighbor and friend.  Our sharing spot on the wall between our back yards stays empty of magazines and notes and pictures.  You would be happy though to know that a nice young couple is living in your home and are taking care of Bob’s roses, planting in the vegetables beds and entertaining family and friends with laughter on your patio where we used to hear Johnny Cash playing and you and Bob laughing.  I was so lucky to have you and Bob as neighbors.  You are talked of often in our home and you are forever in our heart and mind.

Our Dear Aunt Lavonne,

We will miss you so much. Your kindness and fun loving spirit lit up the room wherever you were. All the  family get togethers, shopping trips , breakfast get togethers and lunches together  will be memories we will treasure for ever. Our trip to Hawaii was a great time that we will always remember.  We know you are with all the family in heaven,  keeping everyone laughing.  Until we meet again,  rest in peace. We love you Aunt Lavonne.

LaVonne had a heart filled with such love for her family and friends.. 
  Some great memories of her is when Jim and Myself had a SuperBowl party and our friends made sure we invited LaVonne and Craig. Despite the age difference, she was the highlight of the party every time.. I will never forget the time she saw that Craig was having a drink and she says” I guess I’m going to be driving us home tonight and it’s been a long time since I’ve driven a car but I think I can do it”!  We giggled and I said to her, “ he’s only having a coke “, she said well I think I need to brush up on my driving anyhow.. 
   Her heart was filled with love like no other and she will always have a place in my heart forever. She’s so very missed by Craig and the whole family but I know she’s in a peaceful place now, We will meet again and laugh together ! Love and miss you so much.

I can hardly write this Ms. Pia - the Viking. Your desire to fight and live the last few weeks showed your spirit and strength. 
I will always remember holding hands, kissing each other and your motherly embraces as you slowly passed away and my constant pain and grief haunting me knowing that even a loving Son could not save you. The sickness I feel losing you will be with me always.
Our trips to Maui make me cry recalling all the loving moments you sought out and enjoyed with Ali, Bud, Forrest and Aliyah.

LaVonne is my Grammy. She always always made me feel like the brightest star in the sky. She had a genuine warmth you could feel even from across an entire ocean. The memories I have with her and with Grandpa are the best ones of my childhood. After my Grandpa passed in 2010 she began visiting Maui regularly and we spent so much time together...it was a whole new decade of adventures. I really enjoyed just being with her, making her meals-giving back even just a bit of all that she’s done for me. Lots of laughing, talking, and enjoying each other’s company...she just loved and adored her great grandchildren and I’m so blessed to have gotten to share them with her. Her great grandchildren got to know her so well and adore her so much, she’s easy to love!!! If you are reading this, thank you for stopping by and for thinking about my beautiful grandma, she will live on in all of our hearts forever, what a legacy my grandparents left...truly irreplaceable,  incredible humans. xo 

LaVonne has been our neighbor for over 30 years.  LaVonne, and her husband, were wonderful neighbors and friends.  LaVonne was a sweet and kind person and always wanted to help her neighbors.  There was a weekly race between LaVonne and us to see who could bring in each other's trash cans first.  Finally we tried to alternate weeks and LaVonne would bring in our cans one week and the next week we would bring in hers.  This continued until fairly recently when we all got a little old for weekly races.  We will miss LaVonne and her great sense of fun, style and her lovely smile.
