Laura Elizabeth Hasti

Laura Elizabeth Hasti, age 100, of San Diego, California passed away peacefully the morning of January 27, 2023. Laura was born on December 9, 1922 in Lebanon, PA. After graduating from high school she joined the Marines in 1940 which brought her to San Diego CA. in 1942. Laura met her husband George Hasti (1916-1995) after her discharge from the military and they married 10 February 1945. Laura is survived by her 5 children: Diane (West) Matt, Eric, Joanne (Timroth) and Bernard, 15 grand children, 24 great grand children and 7 great great grand children. Plus numerous nieces and nephews. Laura worked for many years in the San Diego City School Cafeteria system where she retired as a district manager. Laura was the founding president of the Machine Knitters Guild of San Diego. Laura made many dear friends through the years in San Diego.
