Our beloved mother, Kiên Nguyễn, was born on July 2, 1931, in the historic city of Huế, Central Việt Nam. The eldest of four siblings, she was a devoted mother to eight children, a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, and a loving great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. She was also deeply cherished by her sons- and daughters-in-law, who held her in the highest respect.
As a woman from Huế, our mother embodied the traditional values of loyalty, strength, and quiet dignity. She remained faithfully devoted to our father, living as a widow for nearly 50 years after his disappearance.
Our father and eldest brother were among the many who bravely fled Vietnam by sea in search of freedom. Tragically, they were lost at sea—two souls among nearly a million Vietnamese boat people who never made it to shore.
In the early morning hours of April 13, 2025, around 2 a.m., our mother passed away peacefully in her sleep. God has gently called her home, reuniting her with her beloved husband, Nguyễn Văn Kiên, and her dear eldest son, Nguyễn Trọng Anh.
Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to all friends, relatives, and members of the community for your prayers, love, and support.
