Bao has been a dear friend to me since 2012. We worked together at Vans and formed a fast but lasting friendship that continued until he was abruptly stolen from us. This photo is from one of the last days I got to spend time with Bao, April 1st, 2021. It was the first time I had seen him after living in China for 6 years and I’ll never forget joking with him about it. I was surprised to find that Bao had hardly aged, but he would never let you forget about it. Bao Steezie, you are one of the most genuine and positive people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will miss & love you forever. Rest in power, king.


Bao was like a real uncle to me. He always had time to listen, and give advice and assistance when it was needed. May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. You will never be forgotten. 

I didn’t know Bao to well. I use to see him at his work all the time. It was one of my spots I used to go eat at. He always liked talking to me about what ever. Mostly we talked about skateboarding. I didn’t even know he skated until one day it came up, probably cuz I was wearing a Thrasher hat or something. From then on that’s all we talked about when I saw him. When covid hit we didn’t see each other too much cuz things got shit down.  I always tried to get him to come skate with us at Slappy Sunday but he always had to work. It’s so sad to see him gone but I will always keep him in my heart and in my memory because he was too young to leave us. Here’s to Bao and another friend gone too soon.

In the short time that I got to know Bao, there was never any shortness of laughter or good times, whether I was loosing at chess to him, playing a game of skate or just listening to music sharing stories.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the family in these hard times. 

Bao and I attended and celebrated Han's wedding together. 

Bao, if you were here right now;  I would be subjected to a funny YouTube video and you would wait for laughter.  Thank you for trying.  I was always jealous of the fact that you ate gas station desserts and massive burritos and can still look skinny like the Asian James Dean, but cooler of course.  We shared a love for jokes, Mexican food and music.  Your 80’s mix I will always cherish.  I love you and will miss you dearly.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Bao. He was a very friendly, kind-hearted person in the short time we knew him. We send our deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time, and pray for peace and healing.

We are thankful to have met Bao almost 8 years ago.  It was nice getting to know him.....sight-seeing, sharing some great meals and celebrating your wedding.  We are so terribly sorry for your loss, and pray that our heavenly father brings you peace in the coming days.
