We just recently met Rudy and Betty at Paul and Debbie's home through my Sister, Linda Rocco.  We're very disappointed that we will be unable to see him again.  From all the writings in this guest book, we can see that he was a beautiful soul.  We are sorry for your loss and we send you our love.

To John, Paul & Betty - I am so sorry for your loss.  For 23 years it was always a treat to get a visit from John - his smile, his kind words, always asking about the welfare of others amd his zest for life was contagious!  The last time I saw him, he was so excited about the new car "it talks to me" he said.  John will always be missed and never forgotten! A kind, kind gentleman.

I'm glad we had warm-hearted, friendly John as our neighbor and that we were able to chat once in a while.  I knew that your Dad lived a vigorous and adventurous life yet he always remained modest and proudly devoted to his wonderful family...a real man.

We are all so lucky to have been touched by this good man.

John, Paul and Aunt Betty,
I will always remember Uncle Johnny for his sweet smile and the way he moved his eyebrows when he talked about a new car!  I have heard wonderful stories of how Uncle Johnny cared for Grama Rick and his sisters, when Grama was widowed.  He always stepped up as the 'man' in the house, however young he might have been.  One of my favorites about Uncle Johnny was when he called my Mom (your Aunt Betty) on the phone.  Sometimes it was me who answered, but he always said 'Hi Babe.' I would laugh and always know that it was Uncle Johnny.  He was a constant thoughtful brother to my Mom Betty and to Auntie Virge.  He always called them when he came home from fishing to check on them and he continued to call them until he became ill.  John and Paul - we are family and we are just a phone call away.  Please continue to call Aunt Betty and Auntie Virge like your Dad did.  It will mean a great deal to them.  To my Aunt Betty (Smashey-Silva), thank you for the happiness and delight that you brought to Uncle Johnny these past years.  I know that he enjoyed the travels and all of the fun that you had. Although we only knew John for a few years, his kindness, and love of life left a lasting impression. Our deepest sympathys to the Silva family.

god saw him getting tired, and the cure was not to be.  So he put his arms around him and whispered, "come with me".  with tearful eyes we watched him and saw him pass away.  Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.  A  golden heart stopped beating;hard working hands at rest.  God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
