John C Marshall

John C. Marshall passed away in his home on March 9, 2018 surrounded by family after a long bout with cancer. He was born in Cleveland, OH on March 24, 1936. He moved to Pittsburgh, PA shortly thereafter which was his primary residence until he joined the Marine Corps. He retired from the Marine Corps as a Lt. Colonel in 1982. He started his second career the same year as an insurance broker with CIGNA then went on to become the VP of Insurance for Direct Insurance Services, Jack White & Company, TD Waterhouse and TD Ameritrade where he retired in 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Rosemary and his devoted children Stephen, Mark and Margaret. He also was a proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren whom he adored, Emily, John, Fred, Katelin, Megan, Jake, Charlie and Katie. Memorial service will be held on April 6 at 2 pm at Miramar National Cemetary. Celebration of Life will follow immediately afterward at 3 pm at Ballast Point Brewery in Mira Mesa.
