John is survived by his wife, Lan Ly; his daughter Tran Hue Luong / Kim; his daughter Phan Hue Luong / Nancy (Victor); his son Tuong Trong Luong / Anthony (Hang / Katie); and his daughter Thanh Hue Luong / Alexandra (Alan).
John was preceded in death by his son Di Trong Luong / Sylvester.
Mr. Luong leaves 8 grandchildren to cherish his memories.

A funeral service (lễ di quan) will occur Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Goodbody Mortuary, 5027 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115. A witness cremation will occur Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Cypress View Crematory, 3953 Imperial Ave, at S 40th St, San Diego, CA 92113.
