Joanne and I have been friends since babies. When I married I moved to St. Paul MN and  we only saw one another when I came to town. I can't remember for sure what year you all moved to California but in 1973 we did see each other again. But there was Christmas cards always, and then later emails so we never loss touch and would pick up where we left off the last time. And of course, I would call to wish her a happy birthday. This year was no different.  Only this time it was different. My very good friend and really more like a sister didn't answer. I am so sorry for your loss as well as mine. I will miss our times together.
