Jelena Plavsich

Jelena Plavsich, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in San Diego, California. She died in peace surrounded by her loved ones. Jelena was born on May 4th, 1946, in Ljubljana Yugoslavia (now Slovenia) to her parents Velimir Djurovic (from Montenegro) and Anica Kalisnik (from Slovenia). She was youngest of three siblings, brother Dusan and sister Eva. Jelena was married to Radomir Plavsich in 1965 and they shared 52 years of marriage together. Jelena was a bellowed wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was dedicated to her family and will be remembered for her endless love towards her loved ones, kindness towards everyone and never ending optimism and positive outlook on life. She is survived by her husband Radomir, daughter Breda (Juan), son Milan (Ljubica), grandchildren Kathleen, Melanie, Natalija and Mihajlo, and her sister Eva. The memorial service will be held on Monday January 23, 2017 at 7 PM at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in San Diego. The viewing will be held from 5 PM to the time of service. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday January 24, at 10 AM. Following the service, burial will be held at El Camino Memorial Cemetery, 5600 Carrol Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121 on Tuesday January 24 at 11:30 AM.
