Jacqueline Ann Gregory

Jacqueline Ann (Hendricks) Gregory was born on March 1, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to John W. Hendricks and Florina E. Hendricks. She attended the Little Flower Catholic Grade School and then Scecina Memorial Catholic High School.

She played the trumpet in the Scecina High School marching band. During summers she did boating and water skiing with her family and friends every weekend. In 1968 she graduated and did secretarial work for the Naval Avionics Center in Indianapolis.

In 1972 at age 22 she moved to San Diego to work and enjoy the Pacific Beach area with her best friend Katie. Jackie began dating in San Diego where she met Jon Gregory on a blind date in May. She and Jon dated for a few weeks until he deployed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany for a 9 ½ month cruise to Vietnam in June. During that time they corresponded by mail and upon his return they resumed dating enjoying going to the beach, camping, and motorcycle trips

On September 25, 1976 Jackie and Jon were married in Brownsburg, Indiana near her parents home. On August 25, 1977 Jackie gave birth to Stephanie Ann and on February 15, 1981 to her son Ryan Daniel.

Jackie worked as a teacher's aide at Kate Sessions Elementary School for 20 years and then the Susan G. Kamen Breast Cancer Foundation for another 2 years. Jackie loved the beach, social gatherings and was active in Girl Scouts with Stephanie. She attended all of Stephanie's and Ryan's athletic events. She dearly loved children.

Jackie will be missed by her family and friends, she was a "bright spot" in all of our lives. She passed away on May 4, 2023 due to complications of advanced Alzheimer's Dementia.
