Irene Louise Voth

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 26, 2023 at San Marcos Lutheran Church with the Rev. Casey Kloehn Dunsworth officiating. Burial will follow at Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, CA at 1:15 pm. Cemetery arrangements are by Miramar Memorial Services.

Irene was born in Minneapolis, MN to Ann Engstrom Thurn and Fred James Thurn on January 30, 1928. She went to school at North High School in Minneapolis, MN, and graduated from the University of Minnesota. She married Robert J Voth on April 21, 1951 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, MN. She worked as a Secretary/Executive Assistant for the Office of Management and Budget, County of San Diego for over 20 years. She was a member at Clairemont Lutheran Church for over 60 years and a patron of the Old Globe, also in San Diego, for over 50 years

Irene is preceded in death by Robert J Voth, her husband of 64 years and Robert Thurn, her beloved brother.

Irene is survived by her daughter Anne, her son Thomas and his wife Amy, Sister-in-Law Jeanette Thurn, grandchildren Jason and Natalie Voth and dear friend Diane Coombs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Lutheran World Relief, Baltimore, MD or to The Old Globe, San Diego, CA.
