Iluminada Santos Rodriguez

Iluminada Santos Rodriguez, born in the Philippines on November 5, 1929, passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2022, surrounded by family members. She is predeceased by her son, Francis, and her husband of 63 years, Francisco N. Rodriguez.

She is survived by her daughters Luzi and Cynthia, her granddaughters Bailey and Madison, and her son-in-law Steve. She also leaves behind a sister, Erlinda Marquez, of Clovis, California and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Iluminada left the Philippines to join her husband in Maryland, who was in the U.S. Navy. From there, the family moved to Malta in the early 1960s and finally settled in San Diego. After Frank retired, they traveled around the world. Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and South Korea were just some of the places they visited.

Iluminada lived a full life and was loved very much. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the Art of Hospice caregivers for seeing to her comfort these last few months.
