Harry Chang Wang died unexpectedly in San Diego, CA on September 24, 2024 at the age of 55. Harry was born on July 12, 1969 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan to Liou-fang “Jack” Wang and Wan-chu “Mary” Shen. He attended high school at Northbrook High School in Houston, TX and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He then went on and received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Houston in 1999. Harry worked at several pharmaceutical companies all across the country, having stops in Atlanta, Augusta, Seattle, and San Diego. His drive, generosity,and genuine kindness positively affected everyone he worked with throughout his life.
Harry is remembered as a kind, gentle, patient, and loving father. He married Manqi Han in Atlanta, GA in 2002. While in Augusta, GA in 2004, they had Harrison, their only child.
He is survived by his wife, Manqi; his son, Harrison; his father, Jack; and his brothers, Walter and Peter.
Funeral arrangements are provided by El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A funeral service celebrating his life will be starting at 11:00am, and the burial immediately following.
