He grew up in Rockville, Maryland and attended college on a R.O.T.C. scholarship at Illinois
Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois where he graduated with a degree in Electrical
Engineering. After college, he spent five years as a U. S. Naval Submarine Office, Nuclear
qualified. He remained in the Naval Reserves and retired after twenty-two years as a
Commander, He loved the Navy and was proud of his accomplishments.
Bud's civilian career spanned from 1971 to 2013 which he spent as a sales engineer for the electronics industry and as a sales training program manager. He was dedicated to his customers
and really enjoyed selling electronic test equipment. He was known for his high standards in the industry.
Bud lived his life with great enthusiasm. His favorite activities were handball which he played indoor and outdoor for most of his life; sailing in which he loved racing small boats and chartering
sailboats for cruises with friends and family and driving Alfa Romeos. He was a past Commodore
of the Santa Margarita Yacht Club on Camp Pendleton, CA. and a past president of the Alfa
Romeo Owners club of San Diego, CA.
Bud leaves his wife of 54 years, Sue; his brother, John and his family and his sister, Joyce and her family. Bud was Uncle Bud to all his nieces and nephews, all of which were very dear to him and a loving family for him.
Bud passed away September 25. 2021 from Parkinson's Disease and will be sorely missed.
