Marie was loving, funny, fun, loyal, giving, outgoing, dedicated, reliable and so much more.
She built her life on a foundation of faith, with Jesus as her rock and Savior. Her faith never wavered and was an absolute inspiration to all those around her. Her knowledge and experience of being a teacher translated into teaching others about God and His undying love.
Her love of Jesus also translated into a servant’s heart, willing to help, give and love wherever needed. She genuinely cared about people and wanted to help and serve however she could.
Marie was one of the most outgoing people you’ll meet. She loved to talk not only with friends, acquaintances and family, but also everyone she crossed path with, taking a genuine interest in their lives and what they had to say.
While she started her teaching journey with 2nd graders at the age of 22, her true passion for teaching expressed her gift for piano. Her students and colleagues rave about the care and impact on their lives, and her musical talent and legacy lives on in her students.
And that passion for teaching, extended to her own life… she had a veracious appetite for reading and learning, reading 10’s of thousands of books during her life. Those books now shared with friends and family as mementos.
But her greatest joy in this life, was being a mom and grandma. She absolutely loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. Marie was the most fun and amazing grandma. She had such a special bond with each and every one of her grandchildren, and they experienced and returned that love and adoration. Saying she will be missed is an understatement as there are no words to fully express the love she had for her family and how much it was reciprocated.
Join us as we celebrate a life well-lived, knowing she hears those words she longed to hear all her life from Jesus directly… “Well done, good and faithful servant! Come and share your Master’s happiness.” Matthew 25:21
