

Elaine Krivda Mantuano of Henderson, Nevada passed away on March 2nd, 2024 at the age of 75. She was born on May 23, 1948 in Braddock, Pennsylvania to the late Stephen and Josephine Krivda. Elaine was the 9th of 11 children and treasured being part of a big family.
A born caregiver, Elaine naturally gravitated toward a career in nursing. After high school, she obtained a nursing degree from St. Francis School of Nursing.
While working as a Registered Nurse, she met her husband Gil. They married in 1971 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and made homes in New York City; Springfield, Illinois; Visalia, California; and Henderson, Nevada. They had three children: Peter, Jennifer, and Brian.
Elaine was active in her community, volunteering for multiple organizations while balancing her time raising her kids. She continued to use her nursing skills as a volunteer for Hospice in Visalia.
Over the years, Elaine remained extremely close to her siblings, nieces, and nephews, despite living thousands of miles away. With her friendly, generous nature, she was able to cultivate strong friendships throughout her life. Her house was always warm and welcoming and often full of friends, family and the friends of her children. She loved baking in the kitchen while her loved ones sat at the counter chatting with her.
Elaine’s greatest role came later in life when she became Grammy to her four grandchildren. She loved spending time with them, baking for them, and spoiling them. They adored her just as much as she adored each one of them.
Elaine’s caring and loving nature were unparalleled and her warmth, generosity, kindness, and joy will be missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at El Camino Memorial in San Diego, California.
