Mr. Ortiz had such an impact on my life in the late 60's and early 70's.

Mr Ortiz was  treasure to those that attended Kearny High School in the early years. He was the creator of the schools Alma Mater, and the inspiration for hundreds of musically inclined students. He will be missed.

Our deepest condolences are with the family of Ed. He was always such a "Gentleman".  We know that Ed is up there practicing to be in the Heavenly Choir.  We have been away for 16 yrs. but still remember the warmth & Love that Ed gave to all.  We will be listening for his music.

Our heart goes out to Ed's family.  We, the San Diego Mission Bells, loved him dearly.  He was devoted to our group and was a faithful participant as long as his health permitted.  We will miss you so much, Ed.
