Please forward this to the teemsa family and Barbara. We are late in responding but two years of the virus kept us away from Ocean and Pacific Beach, both our loves in San D. We were the first to rent one of the four condo units from Barbara and Don. Enroute to Canada we stopped on Sunset cliffs of Ocean Beach and met Barbara gardening. She invited us in and Don, Barbara, my wife Brenda, and I sat and drank tea and the story began of our 10, 3week rentals over the years. Such gracious people and loving  hosts and a totally wonderful place and setting. We made many memories there.  We have always considered San D our second home to our permanence in beautiful Gunnison, Co(29 years) and Grand Junction(19 years). 
     We are coming to San D March  2nd for 31 days and staying at Capri by the Sea Unit 711 where we have stayed probably 8-10 time over the years. It would be wonderful to take Barbara to  dinner.  I never wrote to Barbara at her address that is several years old. We would love to take Barbara to  dinner if she is able. We miss both and would usually go to dinner with them when there. We send our deepest condolences and love and wish Barbara and all of you the best. You lost a strong and caring father and Barbara a husband. But aren’t we blessed with memories? Love to all. I still remember as a young adult in Bishop Teemsma ward we had an activity and afterwards I noted out of the corner of my eye someone was sweeping the cultural hall floor and there he was Bishop Teemsma a successful and prominent businessman a great leader wonderful friend a kind Bishop a man of high standing in society and in our hearts sweeping the floor as a humble and yet Noble servant of our Heavenly Father.

I was sorry to hear of Bro. Teemsma's passing.  He was a good and generous man and always very kind to me and my family.  He and my parents went to High School together back in the 1950's.  I worked for him in my early 20's and was always grateful to know him and be associated with him and his family.  

I am sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a good man and a fair boss. We didn't always see eye to eye, but I feel our differences made both of us stronger. May he rest in the Lord's Peace and Love.

Just found out today about Don’s passing when a granddaughter’s wedding announcement was returned.  I just want to say how much I love Don and Barbara Teemsma and the example they have been to me and my family of Christ-like living.  There is a special place in Heaven for them where I hope to be able to join them one day.  May the reality of our Savior’s life, resurrection, and mission bring peace, comfort, and loving memories to Barbara and family.  Our love, Greg Nolte Family 

Don was an amazing man.  I met him many years ago at San Diego National Bank where he was a member of their Board of Directors....We spent alot of time playing golf and just spending time together...He was one of the most caring honest people I have ever known.  In fact, I think he was number one on my list....He was a great leader fair to all and very successful in every way I can think  during his life....I am so saddened to hear of his passing....He meant alot to me and was a close friend and mentor... There is no doubt he is in a place where he is continuing his Mission....I will miss him greatly.
