After graduating high school Don joined the United States Navy and made it his career serving twenty years. While stationed in Japan, Don married his wife Emiko, and the couple was blessed with two sons. After returning to the states, Don and his family lived in Long Beach and then San Diego and after retiring from the navy and began a second career working in the communications department of San Diego County from where he retired again. After Emiko passed, Don married a second time to Clare Marie who is also now deceased.
A visitation for Donald will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 20, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. A graveside service will occur Monday, March 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121.
