Derek Lee Adams

He is survived by his mother, Pamela Adams; his father, Steven Adams; his brother, Jason Adams; uncle Darrell (DJ) Morris; uncle, Patrick Morris; uncle Michael Morris; uncle Robert Morris, cousin Tiffany Morris; cousin Jared Morris; and cousin Sydney Morris.

Derek Adams is preceded in death by his cousin Holly Morris, who died in 2021.

Derek had made many friends over the years, helping those that seemed lost or needed encouragement to see that they could face any challenges. He loved working on his truck, drawing, fishing, camping, and making others smile.

He had a passion for doing things for himself. He loved learning and knowing he could fix, repair or build anything he wanted. Losing him at such a young age shocks us all, and he will be missed dearly. We will keep him close in our hearts and thoughts as we think of our good times with him.

A funeral service for Derek will be held Monday, July 3, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cypress View Mausoleum, Mortuary, and Crematory, 3953 Imperial Ave, at S 40th St, San Diego, CA 92113.
