Dale Robert Fay, age 74, of San Diego, California passed away in his sleep, of natural causes, on November 1, 2018 at his son's house. Dale was born October 23, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio; he was the son of Robert Fay and Mildred (Miller) Fay.
Dale Graduated from Bay Village High School in 1963 and received his Carpentry Apprenticeship from the Max S Trade School in 1967. He moved to San Diego in 1975 where he worked in construction until 1983 when he became the owner of Mira Mesa Trophies. He loved sports whether it was playing them in his youth, coaching his kids, or cheering on the Chargers and Padres or hanging out at the Del Mar Racetrack. He also loved to travel; his favorite vacations included Hawaii, Orlando, Grand Canyon and cruises to Mexico and Alaska. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he could.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Stacey, and two sons, Matt and Tim; his grandchildren Brandon, Ryan, Morgan, Jacob, Trevor, Caitlin, Ryleigh, Myles; and his brother Gary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred, and his two sisters Lynne and Karen.
A memorial service for Dale will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. A reception will occur Monday, November 26, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121.
