Conrad Clinton Nash – Born March 29, 1926, in Balaton, Minnesota. Mother: Hazel Johnson – lived to be 101 years of age Father: Harold Nash – lived to be 80 years of age Hazel and Harold had 4 children – Bessie, Conrad, Orville and Vernon Hazel and Harold celebrated their 50th Anniversary just before Harold passed away Conrad was baptized Lutheran He attended grade and high school in Balaton, MN – PLAYED Basketball, he said “poorly” He was drafted in the 11th grade He was inducted into the Army September 18, 1944 He was honorably discharged November 30, 1946 at Rank of PFC He was awarded: Bronze Battle Star Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon Victory Medal Good Conduct Medal After his discharge Conrad returned to High School and received his Diploma Conrad worked for his dad in the trucking and ice business 1950-1951 – He worked for Miller Grain and Feed 1952 – He moved to St. Paul and worked at the Trade Depot 1953 –Conrad moved to San Diego, California where he obtained a job with Convair I the Parts Department and became supervisor. 1954 – Met Jane Harmer at a dance 1956- Married Jane Harmer in Yuma, Arizona (Jane had three children – Jay, Charlann & Susie) 1957 – Sandra was born 1960 – 1970 – He was active with the Convair Riding Club participating in horse shows, parades and camping with the family horse Trixie. 1984 – Conrad retired from Convair 1985 – Traveled to Europe with Sandra & Jane. 1991 – Jane and Conrad moved to Hemet They attended Hemet Methodist Church 2008 – Jane and Conrad moved to Cypress Court, Escondido CA 2010 – January 2nd – Jane passed away. Jane and Conrad were avid travelers camping and exploring the U.S.A in their Motorhome. They were active members of the Good Sam’s Club. They managed to visit 40 out of the 50 states including Alaska. They both had many stories to tell. Two things that Conrad was most proud of: Marrying Jane Harmer Retiring at age 58
