Brian graduated from Crespi High School in Encino, California in 1981. He then went on to receive a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Oregon in 1986, where he was an active member of the track team.
Brian then completed his Respiratory care practioner liscense from Lane College in Oregon. Brian moved to San Diego shortly after and started his career at Sharp Memorial Hospital where he worked for the last 27 years as
a Respiratory care practitioner. Brian met his wife Bernice at Sharp and they were married on April 9th, 1994. They recently celebrated their 20 year anniversary.
Brian's passion and talent for running,led him to be an assistant track coach at Clairmont High for a period of time. Brian could be found most recently cycling all over San Diego.Brian was an avid sports fan cheering for his favorite teams: The Oregon Ducks, The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Kings.
Brian is survived by his wife, Bernice. His parents, Kathy and George Hammer, his brother Robert Hammer, his sister Tina Sprock and her husband Michael Sprock and their daughter Raina Sprock.
