So sad. Nakikiramay kami sa pagpanaw ng mahal naming  Tiya Aurora. May she rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with her,  and her children, grandchildren,  and the rest of her immediate family too.

My deepest condolences to the Latorre family. My fondest memory of Tia Aurora was when we met at the Quizon/Kison reunion 2018.  I went to her and asked her if she still remembers me.  Gladly she said yes. I asked her to identify me by my name. Readily she answered ‘Brile’. Sabi ko ang galing  naman ng Tia Aurora. Sagot nya ay nabasa ko sa name tag mo  sa dibdib. 🙏

My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved children of tia Aurora - Rommel and his family, the family of the late Ralphy, Rodel and Doris. I too feel your grief.
Tia Aurora together with tia Mila stood as second mothers to us after the early loss of our mom wife of Guillermo (Memo) their brother who was born before the two of them. Her kindness and generosity much like tia Mila's will forever be instilled in my memory.
Tia Aurora may you rest in peace.

We will miss you, Tia Aurora, your gentle humor, your kindness to everyone, your grace and dignity, and your courage. Rest In Peace in the joyful reunion that awaits you with Tio Rudy and the others that have gone before. You have been a light to us and we are forever thankful for everything you have done. Love you forever.

Tia Aurora as we call her, is my Mother’s younger sibling.   They were born one after another and grew up really close to each other.  There were 10 of them but these two were peas of the same pod.  They have always looked out for each other and helped one another thru the years.  I think they even grew closer when they both migrated to the US.  Because they still lived miles apart, they talked almost every day from topics ranging from their own families to current events, the garage sales they’ve been, and the telenovelas they both watch. 

When I got married in the Philippines, she was one among a few relatives who assisted my mother in getting the plans of the whole show in motion.  I did not get there until 3 weeks before the ceremony so the preparations were left to my Mom and her ‘assistants’ to execute. During the reception, the flow of guests did not seem to stop coming and I started to question if we have enough of everything – room, chairs, food.  It happened to be Tia Aurora I got to express this concern and she confidently told me that there is nothing to worry about.  She said there will be enough of everything and if we have to open another room in the venue that could be done, too.  I just remember that she had put me at ease then and I was able to continue just enjoying the party.  And she was right, everything went well without a hitch.

My Mom loved this sister of hers very much.  She was as heart-broken for Tia Aurora, as Tia was heart-broken when she lost Tio Rudy and her son, Ralphy.   Now, it must be a happy occasion that they are together once again – happy to get each other updated and chat about us down here.

Rest in peace, Tia Aurora.  You will always be remembered.


Rest In Peace Tia Aurora.  You have been always a second mother to  us.  Please hug Mommy and Daddy for us.  You are now in a good place with Mamay and Nanay, the rest of your siblings, Tio Rudy and Ralphy.
