Anna Marie Cotton

Anna Cotton passed away peacefully on Thursday November 13 at 6:45PM at Scripps Hospital, N. Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California. Anna and her husband Bob lived at 13133 Caminito Pointe Del Mar, Del Mar , California Anna passed away after a heroic battle with Plasma Cell Leukemia in the loving presence of her husband Bob, her sister Cate and dear friends Linda Woolcott, Jolene Davidson and Becky Owens. Anna was born at Ruislip Air Force Base, UK to her parents Frank D. Pietro and Anita (Glady) Pietro. Anna was married for over 30 years to her loving husband Robert M. Cotton in the Immaculata Church at the University of San Diego on August 4th of 1984. She was a loving and caring daughter and a dear and loving wife and best friend. Anna was a multifaceted woman. Anna had a prolific career in Banking and Mortgage lending for over 30 years. Anna was an excellent, loving and caring Wife. She was also a loving and caring Sister, Aunt and great Aunt as well as dear and loyal to all of her friends and co-workers. Anna’s personality, optimism and laughter were captivating. She will be missed by all. Anna was a gift to strangers lives. She was a willing and valued advisor, a volunteer for fundraisers and a hospice worker for years. Anna also volunteered independently to visit and read to a 90+ year old woman every week and until the woman passed at 101 years old. Anna was and is a blessing to everyone she touched. Her Father, Frank Pietro, survives Anna as well as her sisters Mary, Bernie, Cindy and Cate. Anna is also survived by her multitude of loving brother’s in law, her dear nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as her Aunts and Uncles and Cousins that are still with us. A special thanks to the “Angels” at Scripps Hospital Torrey Pines Green 3 North, who fought valiantly with Anna in seeking a cure. A special thanks to all of our dear friends and co- caregivers who all supported both Anna and her husband Bob throughout these trying eleven months.
