Diego, California passed away on August 29th, 2024 surrounded by his family in Fallbrook,
California.
Born and raised in Telbang, Philippines, Alejandro grew up with five brothers and one sister.
After completing high school, he joined the United States Navy in June 1957. Throughout his
service, Alejandro dedicated himself as a Marine Mechanic and traveled the world. After 20
years of distinguished service, he retired and was honorably discharged. His exemplary career
earned him several honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service
Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct
Award.
In 1966, Alejandro married his wife, Virginia, and they planted roots in San Diego, California. He
went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and spent 20 years as a
Maintenance Mechanic at Aramark.
Alejandro was known for his kindness, compassion, and unconditional love for his family. He
enjoyed delivering food to local churches, cooking, gardening with his wife, traveling to the
Philippines, sharing stories of his life, and cherishing time with his loved ones. Alejandro lived a
full and colorful life defined by his unwavering commitment to his family and his strong values of
honor, respect, and humility. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Alejandro is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia Paat-Cabrito, his daughters
Jeanette Cabrito Kocher (Bryan), Alexis Cabrito Knight (Matt), Heide Cabrito, and his son Alex
Christopher Cabrito. He also leaves behind grandchildren Virginia Jizelle Kocher, Bryan Joel
Kocher, Ronnie Jones Jr, Caryssa Camylle Jones, Anthony Alejandro Jones, Rodney Alexander
Jones, and five great grandchildren.
