We’ll miss everything about you grandpa, but mostly we will miss your jokes and your teasing.  Personally I’ll miss just sitting in your room with you watching the dodger games and seeing every new plant and every new fruit you were growing.  Thank you for allowing me to watch the cartoons my mom didn’t let me watch.  It is because of you I acquired a taste for black coffee and burnt toast.  Still till this day you had the best luck I have ever seen in a person.  I love you ❤️

Because of you, I was fortunate to have three grandpas in my life.  You always treated me as one of your own and made sure that John Anthony took good care of me. I will always remember the times when I would carry my dead plants to the trashcan but before I could throw them away you would be quick to grab them. Sure enough you were able to make them come to life again. But most of all, I am going to miss taking shots with you on special occasions and how you hated Fireball but still took the shot anyway.  We love you Grandpa.

I loved when I would visit Dad and he would take me out to his beautiful yard and show me all the vegetables and chilies he was growing . And talk about his plumeria's and trees. I loved that time with him ❤

4th of July was always your holiday Daddy and we loved being with you,   You always bought your grandkids a big box of fireworks.  

What memory of you grandpa can i put that i havent already shared millions of times before? Countless beer runs, fence repairs, car repairs, the list just goes on and on. Youve always been 3 doors down from me my whole life, even though i know you will always be here with my in spirit, the emptyness i feel everytime i walk past your room will never go away. You told me a long time ago that when this day came i was to be strong and not shed a single tear for you. Im doing alright at it but got the minor i miss you! Rest in paradise my friend, my mentor, my hero, my grandfather. I love you and i promise to continue to make you proud.

  There are so many memories it’s hard to choose one .  But the image I most remember is the image of your strength .. You were always there for me for all of us !  You taught me to work on my own cars, on my own home, to fix a pipe, to dig a ditch ,to knock down a tree  ( or to grow one)  you gave me the tools to be a man !  But you also taught me kindness and generosity ,  you always remembered mom’s birthday and would bring herthe biggest  heart shaped box of chocolates  ,  how  every day my little sisters would run to greet you and see what you had for them in your lunchpail . We lacked for nothing because of you, And our home was filled with love because of you and mom...  thank you Papa for everything !  And thank you Lord for the greatest dad in the world !...

When I think of you Grandpa, it will bring me to your backyard. I'll picture you watering your trees and walking with your children and grandchildren, telling us about what each tree and plant is growing, and showing us the new plant your magical green thumb had brought to life. I'll picture you relaxing on your hammock as your grandchildren run through your trees playing make believe games. I'll picture you sitting in your chair at the end of the kitchen table eating and drinking coffee with your family, or sitting in your room watching a baseball game. I'll picture you walking across the street with your grandchildren to buy us candy and ice cream. I'll picture you messing with Papa or John Anthony or one of the Tios. Sometimes I'll picture you telling stories in Spanish about the incredible life you've lived. Sometimes I'll picture you just sitting in silence, enjoying your loud family talking, laughing, and loving around you. Often I'll picture you with Grandma Lola and remind myself how happy the two of you must be to be together again because it will bring me comfort in the moments when I miss you most. And you will always be missed Grandpa, and like Grandma Lola all of your grandchildren to come will know you and love you. I know you will always be with us and I know we will see you again. We love you Grandpa.

Our Daddy was everything to us. After losing mama he made sure to be there for us all ❤ I have so many beautiful fun memories. But one of my favorites is when friends would come over and he would go get a chili from his garden and dare them to eat it for money! Or just for competition. I love you Dad and will miss you so much .. forever in our hearts ❤

Grandpa,

I love you so much and I’m sad that I had to say goodbye but I’m so happy that you are no longer in pain and with Grandma. Having you as my grandpa was such a blessing. You built us a swing set out of metal pipes rope and a piece of wood because you did whatever you could to give us anything to make us happy. I’ll never forget the endless trips to get candy or being told the story of us skinning cactus together when I was a kid and getting picas all over myself. I’m so happy that you got to meet Freddy and have a conversation in Spanish with him since that’s something I never got to do. You got to see us grandkids graduate college and we are so lucky to have celebrated that milestone with you.  Thank you for everything you’ve done for this family. 

Grandpa I will always miss how you took us  out to your backyard and how you always showed us your plants. I will miss how  you always took me across the street for candy. I will never forget you, you are the best grandpa. Love always Desiree 

There was a time where I thought this day would never come Grandpa. Sometimes I thought I would go before you would! That's just how strong you were! You never stopped fighting for us. I can't thank you enough for everything you did for us Grandpa. You were my only Grandpa, and man was I blessed to have you. You taught me so many things, and always showed me so much love and care. You will never be forgotten Grandpa. Every time I visit that house I will be thinking of you. The selfish side of me wants you to still be here, but the other side of me knows that you are finally at rest, and never have to use a cane, walker, or scooter ever again, and I'm so happy to know that. Tell my Grandma Lola I said hi, and that I can't wait until the day that I get to see you both again. I promise I will continue to try and make you proud, and that all of us grandkids will continue your legacy with pride. Do us a favor and try to help the Dodgers win a World Series soon! I love you Grandpa, and I miss you so much.

I'll forever miss sitting on your lap grandpa and sharring a cup of coffee while dipping our toast. Every morning had become routine by seeing you in your chair ready to start the day gardening.  You have had such a big impact on this family and it shows from all the lives you have touched . I love you grandpa and I miss waking up to you  but I know you're busy reuniting with our loved ones up there. I'll see you soon .
