At the age of 10 Rodney, his mother, and his siblings moved to Pomona, CA where he was raised until becoming an adult.
Rodney attended North San Antonio Elementary, Palomares Jr. High, and Pomona High where he continued his studies. He was a hard worker and a team player. Rodney was very talented and excelled at whatever he put his mind to. One of his interests was the art of dance where he gained the nickname Dr. Smoke along with many others such as Chadder, given to him by his aunt Rochelle at an early age, Loddie Doddie Don’t Give a F***About Nobody, and Dangerfield.
He was a very adventurous person and touched the lives of so many. He had a great love for his family and friends, and could light up a room with his smile. He was loved and will be truly missed.
Rodney accepted Christ into his life at an early age. He is preceded in death by his Father Eddie Hugh James Sr., Son Keyon James, Sister Dreana James, and Grandparents J.C. Ogburn, Janie Ruth Hall, Rufus James, and Rosetta James.
