Robert Ponce Rivera Sr. 79 of San Bernardino passed away April 30, 2016. He was born in San Bernardino on December 31, 1936. Robert “Veto” received his GED from San Bernardino and Ornamental Horticulture from San Bernardino Valley College. He was married to Yolanda “Yogie” Rivera on August 12, 1967.
“Veto” had a career in Landscaping for Flowerland for ten years followed by owning his own company for forty years. He was a member of The Gents Organization, and had a passion for anything to do with plants, animals, cooking, listening to oldies on KOLA and anything to do with his grandkids. They were his world.
He was survived by Children; Robert “Big Bob” Rivera and wife Roxanne “Rosie” Rivera, Ernest Jon “Neto” Rivera, Michelle “Shelly” Rivera, Grandchildren; Robert “Birdie” Rivera III, Anastasia “Modie” Rivera, Alex “Johnny” Rivera, Anthony “June Bug” Rivera, Angel “Chillidog” Rivera, Amanda “Moo” Rivera Siblings; Abraham Rivera, Richard Rivera and a ton of godchildren, nieces and nephews.
