Robert Calleros (also known as Bob), was the first of eight children born to Frances and Felix Calleros on November 6, 1931 in San Bernardino, CA. He graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1949. After high school, Robert joined the Air Force, where he faithfully served our country for four years. Shortly afterwards, he married his childhood sweetheart, the former Jessie Jimenez. They eloped to Las Vegas and had six children: Salvador (Jerry), Diane, Joe, Sandra, Lawrence and Albert.
Robert is survived by his wife Jessie, six children, sisters MaryAnn Chavez, Dora Rodriguez and Dolly Ramirez; brother Jimmy Calleros; brother-in-law Del Jimenez and sister-in-law Beverly Jimenez; son/daughters-in-law Craig, Trey, Marian and Aixa; grandchildren Brandon, Christina, Robert, Annalisa and Michael Guidone; and great-grandson Hudson; as well as step-grandchildren Marlene, Monique, Tabitha, Michael Bueltel, Simone and Sydney; and step-great grandchildren Felicity, Emmeline, and Miles and Everly.
Bob will be remembered as a generous, high energy, charismatic person; he wasn’t one to sit around. One of his favorite past-times was deep sea fishing. He was able to spend his last days doing what he enjoyed most: spending time at home with the family, smoking his cigars, watering his lawn, and sitting under his favorite orange tree in the backyard with his beloved Jessie.
He passed away peacefully on the morning of July 20, 2018, at home with his family by his side.
Reception to follow at 2pm at Knights of Columbus Hall, 2392 Western Ave N, San Bernardino.
