Richard Allen Bruce

Richard was born August 9, 1946 in Oklahoma to Edwin and Lorece Bruce, but was a long time resident of Ventura and San Bernardino, CA and briefly lived in Las Vegas, NV and Hawaii.

He is survived by his wife Pearl of 31 years; his son Ricky; stepchildren Jeff and Eric Bryant, Kim Barrera, and Stacy Sorkin; brother Gary Bruce; sisters Carolyn Cain, Lorece Strong, Mary Bruce, Bernice Manchester and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; son Robert; three brothers, Chris, Edwin and David; and one sister, Sue Powell.

Richard was the ultimate handyman. He loved to build and fix things. If something was broke or didn't work right, he would find a way to make it bigger and better than before! Richard was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and sharing his culinary skills. Richard loved going to car shows and watching old movies. He liked telling corny jokes but his infectious laugh was always funnier than the joke!

We will all miss him dearly!
