Norman Campos, 67, passed Thursday morning, October 18, 2018 peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends after fighting diabetes for decades. Norman was born to and preceeded in death by Eugene Estrada Campos, and Margie Faye Posey on January 30, 1951 in Mesa, Az.
Norman lived with his father in Yorba Linda, CA before moving to Rialto where he graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1969 and was in the Sigma Beta Chi fraternity while he attended San Bernardino Valley College. He married Julie Beth Campos in 1972, and they lived together in San Bernardino for 47 years. Norman worked as a Commercial Plumbing Sales Mgr. for Express Pipe & Supply in Anaheim until he retired in 2015.
Norman is preceeded in death by brother Danny Campos and sister Kathy Garland and is survived by his Aunt Gloria Estrada (Guillermo "Bill" Lopez), sister Brenda (Jack Cowell), and brothers Eugene Jr. (Roberta), Glenn (Linda) Donson, and Mike (Karen) Campos.
Norman is survived by 2 children: Jennifer Noel (Patrick McDonald), and Norman Campos Jr. (Raquel). He also is survived by 7 grandchildren, Erin Kelly, Ian & Samantha McDonald; Bryce & Jarren Campos, Desirae (Ray) and Joel Rodriguez (Sara) and 3 great-grandchildren- Alex, Julian, and Baby Rey.;
Norman enjoyed all sports. Was a San Francisco 49er fan, loved to play golf and poker. And he most enjoyed coaching his son’s and grandsons’ wrestling, football, baseball, and rugby team sports. A star now in heaven that will be truly missed on Earth.
Memorial service to be held on Saturday, Nov. 17th, 2018 from 1-3 at Mt. View Mortuary with small family and close friends gathering at Arrowhead Country Club after service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice or simply pay it forward.
