Mike Garcia, 82, passed away on October 21, 2012 at Reche Canyon Convalescent in Colton, CA. A lifelong resident of San Bernardino, he was a 1948 graduate of San Bernardino High School, where he earned recognition as a football star. Mike worked for Bard Distributing for over 35 years
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sallie Guerrereo Garcia of Highland, CA; Sons Mike, Daniel and John; and daughters Susan DeLeon (Marty), Jane Martinez (Leonard) and Cynthia Arnett.
Mike is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012, 5-8 p.m. at Mt. View Mortuary, 570 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, CA. A rosary will be conducted the same evening at 6:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 29, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 6886 Del Rosa Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92404. Fr. Miguel Ceja will be the officiant.
