Affectionately known as Mercy or Chela, she was born June 30, 1928, and worked as a laborer for 50 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and was involved in many social outreach programs and choir groups. Mercy truly knew that it was more blessed to give than receive. Her generosity knew no bounds and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In true "Mercy fashion" - no one ever left her home hungry. She was a positive role model to her family and community. Mercy's passion for life touched all who knew her and she will be missed by many.
Mercy was preceded in death by her parents, Eustacia and Santiago Flores, and her husband, Jesus Rocha. Survivors include two sons, Francisco (Jacque) and Arnold (Jackie) and two daughters, Lydia Ann Montana and Leticia Romero (Richard); sisters Elodia Flores and Carmen Burgos; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
