Lue Dobbins passed away at home in San Bernardino, CA on February 21, 2021 of natural causes at the age of 94. She was surrounded by her loving family. Lue was born October 15, 1926 in Grand Junction, TN, the daughter of the late Symanthia Sisk Richardson and the late Dr. Robert Willis Richardson.
Lue moved to Meadville, PA as a young adult where she graduated from Meadville Senior High in 1946. She raised 8 children while working at various employers and retired from Spencer Hospital in 1982. She relocated to San Bernardino, CA in 1985 to be closer to her family.
Lue had opportunities to travel abroad while living in Southern California. She enjoyed international trips to England, Japan, Korea and China. She enjoyed traveling throughout the continental United States with her family.
Lue’s home has hosted numerous family gatherings and she was blessed to be able to lovingly care for her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. She was expecting her first great-great grandchild in June 2021. She loved to laugh and tell jokes. She saved every greeting card she received. If you got a card from her, it most likely made you laugh. Lue was a born again Christian and fellowshipped many years with Agape Community Church in San Bernardino. She lived a blessed full life.
Lue is survived by her daughters, Gloria Edwards- Oakridge, OR., Judy Bryant-Jackson (Rodney)- San Bernardino CA, Betty Bryant-San Bernardino, CA, and Sharon Bryant- Jamestown NY. Her son Darren Bryant (Kimm)- Tumwater, WA. Her brother Herbert Richardson -Compton, CA. Two sisters-in-law Betty Richardson- Jamestown, NY and Ruth Richarson-Crowley, TX. 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. And many nieces and nephews,
Lue was preceded in death by her two sons Clifford Dobbins and Del Dobbins, her daughter Janice Jones, brothers David Stewart, Mark Richardson, John Richardson, Alfonso Richardson, Bob Richardson and her sister Bobbie Horton.
