Kenneth passed away at the age of 69 on March 8, 2019 surrounded by family after a short but courageous battle with melanoma cancer. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Eugene & Ruth O'Kelly. The family settled in Rialto, California. After graduating from (SBHS) San Bernardino High School and later serving four years in the U.S. Army. After finishing at last Station Fort Bragg in North Carolina he returned home to Rialto. While working at Builders Emporium he met his future wife Linda J Douglas. They married February 14, 1976 and had daughter Trish in 1980, and son Mike in 1985. He worked for Heman G Stark Youth Authority Chino Men's Prison as a plumber, Department of Correction, retiring after 30 years. He was preceded in death by parents Eugene & Ruth O'Kelly and in-laws Arthur & Dolores Douglas. Ken is survived by his wife of 43 years Linda O'Kelly, daughter Trish and Carlos Ramirez, son Mike and Michelle O'Kelly, grandchildren Cody Ramirez, Camryn, Logan, Madelyn & Taryn O'Kelly, sister Donna & Robert Montgomery, nephew Mark Montgomery, niece Debbie Montgomery, sister-in-law Patsy & Wally Kaiser, also many life long friends from work. He loved spending time at the beach with his wife watching the waves and enjoying fresh seafood. Ken enjoyed picnics at the lake. He loved spending time with his kids & grandkids at birthday parties, holiday, Angels games, movies, Monster Jam and Disneyland trips. He loved to travel and try new foods. He most recently enjoyed his trip to Hawaii in December 2017 with Linda, Carlos, Trish and Cod. Ken thoroughly enjoyed raiding a pint of Jeremiah Red with Mike at BJ's Pizza. On the weekends he got up early to watch his favorite western movies, also War movies. The collection of his favorite movies was quite extensive. Ken found a life long love of carpentry taught to him by his father-in-law, Art. He found joy in making things for people and filled many hours working with his tools. At work Ken was aptly nicknamed Smiley. Even during his last few days no matter the pain he was in, he would always look at you and smile. A proud son of a military family. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather that will be missed dearly.
