Kathy and I went to Roosevelt, Arrowview and SBHS together. She always had her warm welcoming smile and was a friend to everyone. We connected on FB a while back and it was usually a Happy Birthday wish or a positive thought to each other during a particular time in our lives. It was always a great feeling to hear from her or to send a hello. She was still the same sweet person I’d known for so many years. She touched many lives including mine and made this world a better place. Kathy dear friend, you’ll be missed and always remembered for being so wonderful.

I knew Katherine as a young happy girl. I went to high school with her sisters and got to know Kathrine thru them. She was always laughing and hung around us even though she was younger. I wish I would have seeming her as she grew up and married. I would of love to know her family. I live in New Mexico now but keep in touch with Cindy her sister. God bless the Acosta family and Calleros family. 

I have very fond memories of kathy. I worked with her at llumc radiology dept. For 13 years. Kathy was a very important person to me at the darkest moments in my life. Dear Mr. Marc and Kids
I am trying to write something and I can't stop crying. I can't believe Mrs. Kathy is gone. I am so very sorry for the loss of your wife Mr. Marc and for the loss of your beautiful children's mother.
I wish I had said what I felt so long ago about your family to all of you. When I was your neighbor I was a scared single mom. I had no idea what I was doing just coming out of a divorce and truly on my own for the 1st time. I remember moving into the house next door to you all. Feeling overwhelmed I remember seeing you Mr. Marc for the first time and my first thought was" he looks like he can fix things, YES" cause if something broke I had no money or idea how to fix anything(as a single mother that is one of our fears).lol  Then I  got a glimpse of our beautiful wife Kathy. but she didn't see me starring at her. I thought wow such a beautiful lady, what a beautiful couple. It wasn't till a few days later she said hi and our sweet friendship startedl. At that moment I was unsure why!  But I would come to learn she had such a  sweet heart, she was always kind me to and my kids. She told me this story one day that made me know I was going to be OK living alone with  me kids.

Mrs.Kathy Words one day to me:
"I was in my bedroom and I heard laughter , one by one my kids came into my room and we were laughing cause we heard laughter coming from your dining room area, then Marc came in the room and we were laughing as a family". I then said I am so sorry for making such loud noise. Mrs.Kathy turned and said "Oh please don't be I loved that moment"

It was at that very moment I felt like life would be OK, that laughter had come back into my home.  All cause Mrs. Kathy pointed it out to me.

I am just so sad our Earth has lost a beautiful soul, I however rejoice that Heaven gained another Angel!

My Deepest Sympathy for the Acosta Family. I went to school with Kathy and we graduate from San Bernardino High School.  Kathy always had a smile on her face, she was very beautiful and her laughter would make you laugh along with her.  Kathy will be missed so very much.
