Judge Dudley Jr. was born February 2, 1934. The ninth child between the union of the Judge Dudley Sr. and Laura Dudley in the small town of Senatobia Mississippi. Judge attended Paradise Missionary Baptist Church and was active in Sunday School, he we a Junior Deacon and was part of the church spiritual group. Being from a farming community school came after the crops were harvested, but having a mother who believed in education he attended summer school. Judge attended High School at Senatobia Colored High School with no busses for black children. He and his friends would ride horses to school each day. Judge was in the first graduating class in 1953 in which he was the only male. In 1954 Judge joined the United States Air Force and was sent for the training after his training he returned home to marry his high school sweetheart Eddye M. Higganbothan. From their union four children were born Kenneth B. Dudley, Shawn R. Dudley, Judge Dudley III and Lourie A Freeman. Judge was first stationed in Texas but quickly began to travel across the United States. He was stationed in the Philippines spent three tours in Taiwan lived in Massachusetts and Nebraska before coming to California. During his Military career he was awarded, AIR FORCE COMMENDATION MEDAL, CITATION TO ACOMMPANY THE AWARD OF THE AIR COMMENDATION MEDAL, OAK LEAF CLUSTER four times, CITATION TO ACCOPANY THE AWARD OF MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL.
Once he retired, he went back to school got his AA degree while working for the department of Veterans Affairs, Jerry L. Pettis Hospital, Loma Linda, California where he received many performance awards. He also ran a small business and received his Real Estate license but would say he never sold a pot of dirt
All through the yours of his life he kept in contact with family and military friends would get together whenever possible. He was kind loving and would help those in need. We will miss him and his approach to life and family, America, God and Kindness.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Kenneth and Shawn Dudley; Lourie Freeman son in law Murphy Freeman; grandchildren Marissa Moore and Joshua Dudley; brother Lasalle Dudley and sister Jimmie Pugh; and a host of nieces and nephews, family, and his New Hope family.
