Galen would have so many things to say about dear brother Jimmie, but just let me the sister-in-law say that we truly loved and will continue to love this man.

My Dearest Jimmie,
I was the luckiest sister to have you as my little brother. We suffered through the bad times and laughed through the good times. We were blessed to have shared so many good times together. What a bunch! Thank you for all the things you did for me and for always caring. You were ALWAYS there for me and the kids. You were always the one I could forever count on. If something broke or needed attention, my brother Jimmie was there for me. I have fond memories of holidays and the way  you warned all of us to "stay away from the peas&cheese, it will make you sick". Oh, Jimmie, you are the hero we all depended on. You can't know just how much you will be missed! But, I won't be saddened, I will not mourn a loss, I will celebrate the life and the man I was so Blessed to have in my life for so many fantastic years. You made me so happy in so many wonderful ways. Perhaps someday we will do a two-step? How about you and me dance to "Proud Mary" one day? Sharon and Rochelle are so lucky to have spent so many years with you by their side, my how you loved them so! Rest well Jimmie, you've done so much for all of us who were lucky to have you in our lives. I won't say goodbye, I will say see you later. Love you always, Your Big Sister Laurie.

My brother Jimmie was a good man, a kind man and a man of conscience. I will remember every silly thing he said, every pink bathrobe a little girl opened at Christmas, every hug that lasted so long, being told so sincerely how lovely I looked on my wedding day, and every time he went out of his comfort zone to help another. Glenn and Susie each said it so well he was our hero, and he absolutely adored Sharon and Rochelle with all his heart and couldn't have loved them more. He leaves us all with hearts full of memories of that specific Jimmie Brouse kind.

Daddy-thank you for the wonderful family life you provided us. You weren't perfect, Lord have mercy you were not! But you were the best father any girl could wish for. I'm very lucky that every single day I heard "I love you", and I have 46 years of memories and silly habits to remind me of you for the rest of my life. Goodbye Daddy-tell K I said hi and don't let him get your goat when football is on

Uncle Jimmie,  I will always be your "mouse".  I'm still very sorry about Rochelle and I walking through the soft top convertible of yours.  How were we to know it wouldn't hold our weight? : )   I'm going to miss hearing in your gruff voice "come here and give me a kiss mouse". I'm going to miss everything about you.  My biggest regret is not meeting Steve sooner so your health would allow you to walk me down the aisle.  I love you very much.  I cherish that you kept the piggy bank I got you many moons ago and that I now have it back as a memory of you.  I love you so very much.....

 The sweetest man I ever met! Aunt Sharon and Rochelle you both are truly blessed to have such an amazing man in your lives. He always had your back!

How ironic 9-11, a day of heroes, he was always my hero. Rip uncle Jimmy!

Uncle was the patriarch of our family, a dedicated family man, one of the funniest people I knew, a man's man, do-it-yourselfer, and die-hard Marine. He was best man at our wedding because he was the best man we knew. Mom's dog, Missy (who uncle said should have been the one named Belle) will sure miss him, too. He was an all around good ole boy! (We will forgive him his support of the Cowboys.) Rest in peace, uncle...you deserve it. We love you and you are welcome to come visit us any time you like!
