Isabel E. Castillo died peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Fontana, California. Born on July 8, 1930 in Mac Dona, Texas (a suburb of San Antonio). A San Bernardino area resident for 48 years, she was a loving and giving person to all who knew her especially to her children. A member of Our Lady of Guadalupe church she had a deep devotion to her religious beliefs and lived her life guided by her faith.
Preceded in death by her parents Jose and Juanita Enriquez, siblings Roman Enriquez, Pauline Solis, Gloria Padilla and Benita Muro-Carrasco, her husband Maximino G. Castillo, a daughter Dolores Castillo and sons in law Jorge Valencia and Fred Herrera.
Survivors include one brother Luis Enriquez and sister Mary Leyva of San Antonio, Texas. Sister Martina Tamayo of Barstow. Isabel’s surviving children are her son Rudy (Elizabeth “Lisa”) Castillo of Rialto, daughters Carmen Valencia, Consuelo Herrera and Esther (Joe) Zamora of San Bernardino. Bertha (John) Cadena and Isabel (Ysidro) Ponce of Tucson, Arizona. 24 grandchidren, 41 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren. Many loving nieces and nephews in San Antonio, Texas and the Inland Empire.
Services for Isabel: Viewing at 5pm with rosary at 7pm on Sunday, January 27 at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 E Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Mass of the Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Monday, January 28 at 10am. Burial following at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery. Everyone is invited to a potluck reception following the burial at VFW Hall, 2018 W 5th St., San Bernardino.
