Esther J. Alonzo

Esther J. Alonzo (Ramos), 71, of San Bernardino was called to eternal rest on Monday, February 22, 2016 due to complications from gallbladder cancer. She was born on January 27, 1945 in San Bernardino, Ca.. Esther was the youngest of 10 children; 5 brothers and 4 sisters and was a lifelong resident of San Bernardino. On August 17, 1968 she married Richard M. Alonzo. They were married 39 years and raised 6 children. She worked for the San Bernardino City Unified School District at Arrowview Middle School and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. In her spare time she was a avid sewer and gardener and loved spending time with her family. Esther is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Alonzo (2007) as well as her parents and siblings. She is survived by her 6 children: Anthony DeLena (Cindy) of Victorville, Ca., Henry Alonzo of San Bernardino, Ca., Jennie Sanchez (Sal) of San Bernardino, Ca., Richard Alonzo Jr. (Jessica) of San Bernardino, Ca., Marc Alonzo of Spring, Tx., and Joanna Alonzo (Javier) of Colton, Ca., as well as 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Esther was deeply loved by her children and grandchildren, as well as all her nieces and nephews and her many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and will be forever in our hearts until we can meet her again in Gods Kingdom.
